MJA Wing Chun Association (MJAWCA)
The MJA Wing Chun Association was founded by Sifu Michael J. Agbay in 2006.
The goal of the MJAWCA is to introduce and educate all martial artists about Wing Chun. We offer programs for martial artists to not only learn the Wing-Chun System, but to have access to training, certification, and support services from the MJA Wing Chun Association. |
| A higher standard of learning
MJA Wing Chun Association represents a higher standard in the Martial Arts. We accept the challenges that Martial Arts training sets before us as well as the challenges that life brings us. We will take the Martial Arts world to another level, not by insulting or intimidating, but by being a peaceful warrior and encouraging all who want to hold up these standards. We are here as Instructors with this Association to point the way for the student as well as any instructors who choose this path.
Our vision is to make this Association known throughout the country and hopefully around the world. We welcome all stylists. We also welcome Martial Artists who would like to take on the challenge of becoming instructors for the MJAWCA, or teach a program within your own school. |

Wing Chun System (Wing Tsun) is derived from the Fukien system of kung-fu, which is related to the
Hakka System. Their common
features are that during fights,
pugilists of these systems prefer
short steps and in close fighting,
with their arms placed close to their chests, their elbows lowered and
kept close to the flanks to offer it
protection. Another characteristic
of these two systems of kung-fu is,
unlike those of Kwangtung Province
and Northern China, their boxing forms are rather simple. So it is better
to say that the Wing Chun System is
a collection of techniques passed
among the residents of the coastal
provinces of South-East China, and
finally polished and improvised by
one or two talented pugilists to form
its present system, rather than to say
that is intentionally created by one
originator. So it can be said that the
present Wing Chun System having passed
generations through generations, is a
collection of personal experiences of
its successors, refined and pollished with
necessary additions, deletions, alterations
and improvements.
